Our project at Merchants Hall has been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit awards in the Offices 2000-5000 sqm category.
The architecture by Ben Adams Architecture is of note here with the project to partially demolish the old 1855 building and convert it to office use. A key feature is openings created at each floor linking through the building creating an open-plan office space.
Most of the existing structure is to be retained, with some alterations to the exterior and interior masonry walls; typically for the enlarging of openings.
Project will also include the construction of new building to the rear of the site, which will include a basement and superstructure.
