DIRECTOR - PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Key Skills: Richard is a good communicator with the ability to draw the professional team together and produce results.  He has technical understanding and experience both from the management and delivery position.  With a strong basis in services and IT biased projects Richard has a long track record understanding strategy and process and has a strong attention to technical detail.  His drive and enthusiasm pushes projects forward.  

Role: Interfacing with clients, design teams and the contractor to agree and set strategies for the successful delivery of projects.  Programme production and management. Overall “ownership” of the delivery of the scheme. 

Background: Richard has valuable experience working on construction management contracts.  This includes operating as PM for various contracts between 1985 and 2016 with Macmillan publishers, Basingstoke; construction management and contractors project manager at Sony Office, Basingstoke; and welfare and office refurbishments and Power/IT infrastructure upgrades at Sainsbury, Basingstoke.  He also has valuable experience with listed building contracts, including the replacement of heating systems in Romsey Abbey Grade 1 listed building, mechanical and electrical services installations at Bisham Abbey Scheduled Monuments, design and build contract dispute resolution at Luton Hoo Grade 11* and 475 ha Estate – a £70m scheme – in addition to services and building repairs and building services renewal at Tylney Hall Grade 11* listed building.
