Key Skills: Thomas is a firm believer in doing things right and doing them once. He uses forward-thinking on all levels, including procurement methods, technical matters, building life cycle and operatin of the end product. Problem solving is a key skill which is aided by Thomas’ technical background. He ensures the C&P team are integrated into the design team early in a project, and places equal value on developing and maintaining relationships throughout the project lifespan, not just with the ‘home team’ but with the contractors and sub-contractors who will ultimately deliver the project on site.
Role: Managing a team of four other project managers, Thomas plays a key role in staff development and is currently helping several employees through their RICS APC accreditation. Able to adapt to schemes of differing types, complexities and values, Thomas has a diverse portfolio of projects at any given time. Currently this includes a large hotel development, large office redevelopment, luxury residential scheme involving a double depth basement and a number of smaller Cat B fit outs. Being the key client contact for these schemes, Thomas is responsible for guiding the client, management of the design team and contractor, and ultimately overall delivery.
Background: Having gained a degree in Building Surveying, Thomas worked as a Surveyor for 3 years gaining his RICS Chartership before becoming more involved in the Project Management department, eventually becoming a full time Project Manager. Thomas has been in the industry since 2005, giving him extensive experience of the London development market.
